Authentic Tele twang with a modern twist

The American Professional II Telecaster MN RST PINE from Fender delivers the legendary "twang" that has long been synonymous with the Telecaster while adding a few updated features. Fender's AM Pro II models pick up where the previous American Pro Series left off and give players an excellent combination of sound, playability, and features. The AM Pro II Tele features a body made from pine - the wood that Leo Fender himself selected for his very first Telecasters. In a modern twist, however, the body wood is also roasted, a special heat treatment that gives it the appearance of aged timber while also providing a pleasantly warm sound. This use of roasted pine is indicated by the abbreviation "RST PINE" in the model name, while the letters "MN" in turn indicate the guitar's one-piece bolt-on maple neck. The scope of delivery also includes a hardshell guitar case.

A classic with enhanced versatility

The AM Pro II Tele MN RST PINE comes loaded with a pair of V-Mod II single coil Tele pickups, which have been designed specifically for the bridge and neck position, respectively, and are governed by the classic three-way blade switch. The tone pot additionally has a push-push feature that allows the player to connect the pickups in series and thus harness a powerful Rock sound that a Tele with single coil pickups cannot usually deliver. The guitar's Deluxe bridge features a set of compensated brass saddles that significantly enhance the guitar's intonation compared to the original design, and players also have a choice of two stringing methods: "Top load" (by which the strings are simply passed through the back of the bridge) or "string thru", by which they are threaded through the body. Guitarists who like to play with their thumb over the top of the neck will doubtless appreciate the rolled fingerboard edges, while the rounded neck heel and bevelled neck plate also provide improved access to the upper registers.

Modern yet authentic

The Fender AM Pro II Tele MN RST PINE gives advanced players a guitar that will fulfil even lofty expectations and combines the true vintage look and authentic twang of a classic Telecaster with modern features that enhance both its versatility and its playing comfort. This guitar's timeless design and solid features also make it a sound investment for the future - after all, aside from the fact that the Telecaster has defied the countless trends that have come and gone throughout its history, the attributes that make this Tele so pleasant and easy to play are sure to be just as valuable years from now.

About Fender

Fender is without doubt one of the most legendary guitar and amplifier manufacturers of all time. The company was founded in 1946 by its namesake Leo Fender († 1991), whose innovative ideas brought a breath of fresh air into the musical world. His Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass are not only classics – they also continue to shape the styles of musicians in countless genres to this day. Timeless Fender amplifier models such as the Bassman, Twin, Deluxe, and Princeton also enjoy a stellar reputation. Besides maintaining its classic product portfolio, however, the company is also constantly developing new products that make Fender a driving force in today’s music industry.

More than just Country and Western

The name "Telecaster" instantly calls to mind a very distinctive sound - and one that belongs in the repertoire of any well-rounded guitarist. It should come as no surprise that the Fender AM Pro II Tele MN RST PINE's bridge pickup delivers precisely this sound, but the guitar can do way more than just Country and Western tones. Its enhanced pickup switching system adds a range of powerful Rock sounds that still retain the characteristic snappy, biting Tele tone. During its long history, the Telecaster has for the most part been seen in the hands of rhythm players, but the enhancements made here in terms of electronics and playability make this guitar equally suited to soloing, and studio guitarists will doubtless appreciate the improved intonation provided by the compensated bridge saddles mentioned above. Despite its wealth of modern features, however, there is no getting away from the fact that the Fender AM Pro II Tele MN RST PINE is a Telecaster through and through - with all the desirable vintage warmth of the illustrious original.
