Eigentlich suche ich immer wieder nach dem ultimativen E-Piano. Mit dem Korg SV 1, vor 10 Jahren gekauft, habe ich mich damals schon fast am Ziel geklaubt. Haptik der Tastatur, Sound und auch Verarbeitung hochklassik. Dass es soundtechnisch noch eine Spur besser geht, hat dann Crumar mit dem Crumar Seven gezeigt. Und nun bei Thomann das Viscount Legend 70 compact angeschaut, gespielt und...gestaunt und gefragt, wie machen die das, ein solches Highend-Produkt zu einem relativ güstigen Preis anzubieten?
Wer schon mal ein echtes Rhodes oder Wurli gespielt hat, wird beim Legend 70 begeistert sein. Das wirkliche Alleinstellungsmerkmal ist jedoch der modulare Aufbau des Instruments. Während Rhodes, Wurlitzer und Yamaha CP 70/80 auf der Basis Physical Modelling in vielen Klangnuancen mit einer umfangreichen Effect-Gallerie sicher den Schwerpunkt darstellen, gibt es als Zugabe in der Sound-Collection noch eine umfangreiche Sammlung gesampelter Sounds aus dem Spektrum Keys, Pads, Brass, Organ und Synth, wie sie vor allem im Bandkontext hervorragend einzusetzen sind. Wem das noch nicht genügt, kann weitere Module wie akustische Pianos, Clavis, ein Synthi-Modul oder auch ein Modul über das per MIDI externe Klangerzeuger angesteuert werden können zukaufen.
Gerade auch für den Einsatz in einer Band ist die Möglichkeit die Tastatur zu teilen um verschiedene Klänge auch gelayert einzusetzen eine tolle Option.
Ausstattung und Verarbeitung des Instruments sind sehr hochwertig und das Gesamtgewicht inklusive eines sehr stabilen Untergestells erleichtern den mobilen Einsatz.
Fazit:
Wer das ultimative E-Piano für die Genres Jazz, Blues, Rock und Fusion sucht hat mit dem Viscount Legend 70 DIE Lösung State oft the Art gefunden. 73 Tasten des Compact sind hier in der Praxis absolut ausreichend. Wer 88 Tasten wirklich braucht, weil er überwiegend im Klassik-Umfeld spielt, der kann die Version Artist oder Artist W (Holztastatur) wählen. So jetzt reichts auch mit der Bewertung, muss zurück ans Instrument.
