Warm sound, great for speech and acoustic music

Fitted into my IconAudio 40i Stereo amplifier to replace cheap KT77s. The difference was stunning and reminded me of how the amplifier sounded when I bought second-hand with the original factory-fitted EL34s. Highly recommended. The valves are weighty and substantial and ooze quality.

These seem reliable, but the tone isn't anything spectacular.
I think it lacks depth and the mids are harsher than in other tubes. There are cheaper and better sounding EL34s out there (Electroharmonix?)

Sur mon ampli hifi JOLIDA après avoir eu plusieurs tubes EL34 différents (Shuguang EL34B et EL34A plus doux, Mullard reissue très agréables, JJ, EH) les gagnants sont ces 4 tubes EL34B Tung-Sol appairés.
Neutralité, transparence, dynamique, musicalité, tout y est, y compris la puissance sans oublier la fiabilité dans le temps.
Rien de trop ni de manque, bias réglé à 0,33 mV.
A ce prix-là (possibilité de régler en 4 fois sans frais par Paypal) et livrés rapidement, le vendeur Thomann est au top !!

Las he usado en 2 ENGL (ENGL Retro 100 y un Invader 2) y respecto a las de serie u otras marcas la mejora de sonido es notable.

Son más definidas, nítidas, con mas cuerpo y menos ruido de fondo en high gain.

También en estos dos amplificadores ha mejorado no sólo la nitidez en el sonido, ha aumentado la cantidad de graves usable y también de la ganancia disponible siendo esta mejor, con más garra y presencia.

Tienen algo de 6L6 en el carácter del sonido.
