Sturdy box

I've has this for 6 years now and it's still in fine shape. It's just what you would expect from a road case: sturdy, heavy. It would be even better if the latches on the lids were recessed into the box, now they are the first thing to contact ground when you put this down on its sides.

MR
Finally a safe hideaway for my dear old HA3500
Monatomic Rooster 04.04.2019
First off, the guys at Thomann gave me a lot of telephone help in choosing the right rack case, well done there, guys! Being a 3-high there is room to leave the amp's rubber feet mounted. This provides extra stability for the amp and takes some of the load off the brackets. (Search for "rack ears", Thomann has them). It also provides for extra air flow above and below the amp - never a bad thing, and of course room for a couple of cables. A 2HE case would have worked, but, well, see above. It's tough as tortoises and carries nicely too. Course you could put the amp in without feet and then squash in a 1-high rack tuner or whatnot above it. Plenty of mounting screws provided for all that. All in all a dandy bit of gear.

A
4 years and still working
Anonymous 16.07.2014
Got this case 4 years ago.

It has done hundred of gigs and thousands of miles and it is still going strong.

Holds my AKG wireless, bass head and a preamp in the back. It has been dropped, thrown, had beer spilt on it, been spray painted, had items put in and out countless times and even had an adventure in being stolen.

Still no cracks or structural damage.

Comes with far more screws than you need so even as they inevitably go missing as you take things out I still have plenty left.

Basic and tough, exactly what you want from a rack case!

Neat rack for the money!!!
Thomas4037 21.04.2015
I bought this for my hartke 3500 bass head. Fitted perfectly with just a small gap at the top for air circulation. I have it nearly a year now and its in great condition considering all the gigs and transportation it has had to endure!! Its well built with strong handles and catches and the plywood casing is very durable. Only downside with this particular case (and with the other Thon cases that are similar) is that the handles protrudes out too far from the casing so it does not sit well on its edges when left down. Also someone had left a heavy object on top of the case and the plywood casing bowed slightly in the middle. Other than that it was a great buy.. Highly recommended and still a great product..
