I hate metronomes…
Emile Michel Hobo 18.09.2020
Tick, tick, tick. They just keep on ticking. This one even comes with a little bell that allows you to mark the beginning of measures as well. It is sturdy, for as far as metronomes can be sturdy, but it doesn’t look as chic as some others.

I don’t like practicing with a metronome and this metronome perfectly embodies everything I hate about metronomes, therefore it must be a great metronome.

For the price: really awesome
Emilio M R 04.04.2022
Bigger and louder than you think, but for those who prefer the tactile feel (instead of an app for example), a metronome is really a must for musicians!!
It has a couple time signature modes, and I colored in the black body (which looks very classy itself) with metallic pens for my personal aesthetic needs. It is sadly made of plastic, but unless you have a very big budget, it really doesn't make sense for it to be anything else.

Love it, what a bargain
JustRachael 20.10.2020
I play guitar so my comments are geared that way. I wanted to replace a little digital metronome and I wanted to try a more traditional option. I thought for the price it's worth a shot and if I liked the 'traditional' then I'd upgrade. There's no need to upgrade. Even though it's plastic it actually looks really good, quite modern, more like a 30's Bakelite than a modern plastic.

I use it most days, what a great buy.

Good, but – only lasts approx 20 minutes before needing re-wound!
WilW 04.02.2023
Absolutely this thing does the job; it's reliable and clear, the casing is light plastic so I would be careful not to let it fall (it might smash!) but it has everything you need from a metronome… except that after less than 20 minutes it runs out and you need to rewind the clockwork.

If you only need to use the metronome in shorter bursts, no problem, but if you plan on keeping time for 30+ minutes of Hanon exercises you will need something with more juice in the tank.

This is a very simple to use, sturdy, cool looking metronome. I prefer to use a mechanical metronome when practicing over an app as I find it simpler and the visual feedback is more apparent to me. This metronome is easy to use even when holding an instrument. I like the option of turning on the bell if I need to figure out a more complex piece.

When I originally bought this, there was a slight fault with the bell, and Thomann were very prompt at sorting out the issue and sending a replacement.

A fine classic metronome at a good price
Albert79 19.04.2022
I bought this metronome so that not only I may merely use it but also would try to learn the tempos by its classic italian name, which are written on the surface, together with the measure of beats per minute. For that purpose, I find it very useful. It also has an optional "ding" or chime that you can swich on as an every 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th beat. All of it is mechanical and finely made. The speed weight in the oscillating bar can be a bit annoying to manipulate if you compare it to pressing a button, but it really is nothing once you get used to it. I think it works flawlessly and with the advantage of not needing batteries. It's a fine metronome with a classic design and a plastic carcass that makes it cheaper to your wallet.

Five stars

Really not much to comment to this - looks/works/feels exactly as expected. If the spring would be a bit longer (so it'll require winding even less often), it would be 6 stars.
