Sing to birds
Found about this thing scrolling through thomann products.
Instantly checked on YouTube what it's about, this Bird Pipe.
I was fascinated, so I made my order.
Pretty fun thing, but don't except it's just simple to use. It requires some effort to learn, so at first I was disappointed and then after some time I found the right spot so it will make this sounds. Don't except that you will start singing like a real bird, though pretty close! It is fragile, so be careful and always dry it after use with tissue.
Also you can imitate not only bird sounds with this Pipe. Search on YouTube "how to use wacky whistle", there's a video of a guy who explains how to make different sounds.
Experiment and have fun!

No more no less than I was expecting from this instrument, very happy to have come across it on youtube !
Of course it takes a little while to really get the hang of it, but one short session is enough to start making bird-like sounds. You wouldn't buy a flute expecting to know how to play it right away, this is no different, takes practice to master.
Definitely not for children, and unless you live alone, not for the indoors. I drive to the mountains to practice as not to annoy my flatmates, but also because that's where the birds are (I don't reckon the seagulls at my window would be very receptive but who knows).
It's a frail instrument in nature so I'd recommend buying at least two, it's not like you'll be ruined.

Become a birdman :)
It is not easy to master this and it's definetely not a toy for small children (choking hazard). Quality could be better, but I think it's not meant to be used for long. After a while plastic membrane starts to break away from the metal ring.
If would suggest to order a few of these. The first one you probably end up tearing appart before you could master the instrument. Once you taught yourself some bird sounds, it is a joy for you (with a possibility of looking a freak to others)!

Unexpected!
I was expecting a bigger gadget, but I am quite far from being disappointed! Beautiful, and along with the sounds you'd expect from a bird pipe, you can create quite strong screaming sounds which would be very helpful for sound designers/fx artists.

A lot of fun, but you have to learn
I really like birds and this is a lot of fun.
But takes quite a lot of practice to do it right. Youtube videos are definitely very helpful.
The only "downside" is, that it is very loud and my 2 years old son is always scared, when I whistle inside, so it's more an outside toy (for me).

Interesting item for sure.
It's the kind of thing that collectors of strange instruments and noisemakers will enjoy but it's not exactly durable. I believe that the makers have made it as good as it can get but I'd warn people it feels particularly delicate.
That truly is the only flaw I've found though. It's a fun piece.

fun and easy
funny and well made, many sounds possible, just google it to find suggestions. I just regret the fact it's too big for kid's mouth.

Good for bird foley sounds
I bought this item because it was cheap, I didn't think I'd find a use for it outside of annoying my housemates. However I've found a use for this in the creation of bird noises for foley.
