Praktischer AD-/DA-Wandler für Audinates Dante

Ich setze den Tascam ML-16D bei mir im Heimkino als Dante-auf-Analog-Wandler ein. Ich nutze demnach nur eine Hälfte der Möglichkeiten des ML-16D. Hier zeigt der Tascam, dass er das, was er soll, nämlich von Dante auf Analog umzusetzen, problemlos kann. Der Anschluss ist recht simpel, man benötigt aber, sofern man nicht bereits auf DB25 ist, ggf. Adapter auf XLR oder Klinke oder eine der Breakout-Boxen, z.B. von Tascam, die den DB25 Port z.B. auf XLR umsetzen. Das kann nochmal ein paar EUR Aufschlag auf den Preis des ML-16D bedeuten. Die Ethernetschnittstelle ist doppelt ausgelegt, so dass man wahlweise eine redundante Netzwerkstruktur nutzen kann oder über den Switched Mode das Netzwerk über den zweiten Port erweitern kann. Die Einrichtung, bzw. das Zuordnen der Kanäle vom Sender funktioniert über die von Audinate bereitgestellte Dante Controller Software problemlos. In der Controller Software werden auch die Einstellungen für das Netzwerk, die Samplng Rate für die Übertragung, kurzum, alle Einstellungen des ML-16D vorgenommen. Einmal eingestellt, ist die Nutzung unspektakulär. Der Tascam ML-16D funktioniert einfach, die LEDs im Front Panel zeigen schön, auf welchen Kanälen aktuell etwas los ist und auch klanglich verhält sich der Tascam ML-16D im positiven Sinne unauffällig.
Wer einen kompakten Dante-Analog-Wandler mit Signalanzeige und DB25-Anschlüsse sucht, ist hier richtig.
