Funny but serious !
Lemmy Kann 26.01.2016
I took a pair of this Nose Flute without any high expectation
but me and my partner were amazed by the mechanism.

The sound is similar to a regular plastic flute but is more versatile because you can make easily glissato and all these without the use of the hands.
You produce the sound pushing air from the nose and modulate the pitch with the internal part of your mouth

At the beginning you need to spend some minutes to take confidence with this new system for producing sounds (but this is true for all the instruments that uses the breath).
After this first phase the things starts to be really funny
and since we bought, everytime we cross with the eyes these flutes, we play some new melody and laugh a lot.
Is really difficoult to avoid to laugh at the beginning
expecially if you afford some so called serious piece of melody

Pro: Original and funny instrument

Actually is even Loud !

Uncomplicated, you have just to place correctly and understand the shape of the mouth but is a fast process

Once you master it, you can play anything on that

Con:
You need to have some breath or is difficoult to produce sounds, expecially on low pitch

Great and useful!
MS 03.11.2021
Great wind instrument!
I was looking for something to entertain the family and to develop breathing.
This instrument is excellent for that.
It takes a little time to figure out how to get the sound out and learn how to make different sounds.
You can play it solo or you can play it with any accompaniment.
The instrument develops breathing and is very useful for breathing exercises, especially during respiratory illnesses.
The quality of plastic casting is not at the highest level, but it does not interfere and you forget about it after 5 minutes.
For the money it is an excellent instrument for fun activities and breathing development.
Can also be used for speech therapy sessions with children!

It's very fun to play
******* 22.11.2020
The only thing I can say about this is that it is veeeery fun to play and it's definitely worth the price. The sound or the quality are what you can expect for such a cheap product but it is perfectly usable and you can play some "decent" tunes with it.
However, it is not that easy to play. You can make a sound quite easily but changing the pitch takes some effort. Since I have never tried any other nose flute I cannot say whether that's something particular for this product.

As I said, for that price, go ahead and get one cause you are definitely gonna have some fun with it.

S
It works and is cheap
Shapeofnoise 12.03.2021
Compared to my wooden nose flutes, the plastic one has a duller sound and less range. Nevertheless, it works OK. For the money, it is kind of disposable, so I gave it to my 6year old daughter without a second thought. I am ok with it, but the sound and playability does not compare to a well made wooden nose flute instrument

The perfect gift.
GH John 25.07.2022
Bought solely on the novelty of playing a tune with my nostrils to annoy the family, this cheap instrument has provided me with more joy than ever expected. I have experimented and explored its possibilities far longer than expected and have sampled the weird and wonderful sounds created which have made their way into my music - not bad for an instrument that was bought for a joke.
A worthy product for the fun alone - give it a go.

With great power come great responsibility
billyshears 06.04.2018
First of all, I'm not a professional nose flute player. I wish I was, maybe I will be someday, but I'm not now honestly. So in my review I'm not considering technical aspects (?) of the instrument but just the fun element. So, this nose flute is HUUUUUUUUGE. You have to buy it to fully understand what I'm talking about. As I got it, there was something like 50 seconds of fear in which I didn't manage to make any sound. Then I understood how to play it, and it was pure fun. It is not an easy instrument to play properly (is not tempered of course, it's all up to your breath intensity and if you want to be really precise you have to practice quite a lot), but you could still have a lot of fun even though you can't play perfectly in tune. The lack of absolute precsion is one of the funniest thing. The sound is nice, sounds and feels like a toy because it IS a toy and that's the reason why I like it.

Best. Instrument. EVER.
Clarkie 18.03.2018
I bought four of these as a joke for around the table on Christmas Day and I can honestly say it's the best fun we have had post-dinner.

Stupidly simple to use and so much fun, as all you have to do is blow down your nose and change the shape of your mouth to change notes. Even my 8-year-old could join in playing tunes and making a general racket.

The only downside to these is that sometimes we couldn't play them for laughing and my wife fired snotters down hers at one point, setting us all off again.

Buy at least a box of these for an amazing time.

Not so comfortable
Robert269 06.12.2020
It's a nose flute and a cheap one at that and it works, so you cannot really fault it. It's not that comfortable though and at least for me it doesn't fit all that well.
If you can get hold of a humanatone nose flute I'd recommend that over this if you're after a cheap one.
I have since I got this one got a Bocarina "pro" and it's both more responsive and comfortable. It might be more expensive but it's still cheap for an instrument so that would be my final recommendation.
I think Thomann should consider adding the Bocarina to their product range. At least I had some trouble to find a dealer for it that shipped to Sweden.
