Wireless

Whether you’re just controlling a few LED Pars or a complex lightshow with 20 moving lights, 72 LEDs, 4 Dimmers with 6 channels each. Everything can be done with DMX.

If needed, there are ways to get rid of a physical cable and replace it with a Wireless DMX system. These come in different variations whilst the better ones can deliver a range of up to 700 m. This will stand up to most peoples requirements.

DMX over Ethernet

Over the years network infrastructure became very popular and is now widely used. Almost every computer has some sort of Ethernet port (LAN) which can be used for communication with countless applications. This is where Art-Net comes in place. It is designed to work with standard IP equipment, meaning that your router, switch and Wi-Fi card are already capable for Art-Net.

All you need is an Art-Net node to convert the network packages back to DMX.

App control

Using a smartphone or tablet for DMX is the latest development in lighting control. Manufactures have developed apps which either output Art-Net directly or come with a proprietary interface purposely made for their app. The concept is to provide an easy to comprehend software for unexperienced users. This aims perfectly at wedding DJs, house party’s or similar. All being applications where not much attention can be brought to actually operate a lightshow.
