Solid Kart
Kevo 29.06.2019
I am a gigging singer & musician. I live in an apartment complex on the top floor. Having to carry my gear up and down through the building would take for ever and my back certainly wouldn't thank me. I also wanted something I could throw in the boot of the car to cart the gear in and out. So I made the decision to buy a hand truck/kart. Thomann as always offer excellent value and a wide selection of options and all good quality to price ratio. I chose this as it seemed a little sturdier and better built than some of the other options & I feel it will last the test of time & abuse thrown at it a little better than many of the others.

When it arrived, it was very well packaged, as is always the case with Thomann. It folds almost flat with the exception of the wheels. The wheels need to be fitted using the included split pins when the product arrives. Not a difficult job. The wheels are sturdy and will take a hell of a lot of abuse. They will also never go flat. The platform is big enough to carry any size speaker and most flight cases. The platform folds away by use of a rope located between the wheels. This is a little cumbersome and I feel in time it will give with constant use. Time will tell.

All in all, a great product at a great price. In today's health & safety conscious world a very welcome addition to the kit. Takes a lot of the hard work out of the "Donkey" side of things. The price is amazing too! Every musician that karts gear on a regular basis regardless of the distances involved should have one.

Effortless Mobility: The Millennium Go-Kart Solo Review
Joves Productions - Arts & Events 15.01.2024
The Millenium Go-Kart Solo stands out in the market of portable equipment carts, designed for musicians, DJs, and audio technicians who require a convenient means of transporting their gear. This review explores the functionality, durability, and overall utility of the Go-Kart Solo, assessing its value for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

The primary strength of the Millenium Go-Kart Solo lies in its compact and lightweight design, which does not compromise on its ability to carry a substantial load. This balance between portability and strength is crucial for users who frequently move heavy equipment. The ease of navigation, even in tight spaces, further enhances its practicality.

Durability is another key aspect of the Go-Kart Solo. Constructed with robust materials, it is built to withstand the demands of regular transport and usage, ensuring longevity and reliability. This durability is particularly important for professionals who rely on their equipment to be in top condition at all times.

Moreover, the Go-Kart Solo's ease of assembly and disassembly is a notable feature, making it convenient for quick setup and breakdown. This efficiency is a significant time-saver, especially in fast-paced environments like concerts or events.

In summary, the Millenium Go-Kart Solo is an excellent choice for those in need of a reliable, durable, and user-friendly equipment cart. Its combination of portability, strength, and ease of use makes it an invaluable tool for anyone regularly transporting audio equipment or instruments. Whether for professional gigs, studio sessions, or personal use, the Go-Kart Solo proves to be a smart and practical investment.

T
Useful truck
TeeCee 06.10.2017
I've owned this for about a year and it's been a useful addition. The flat section load bed means loads are less likely o move around, and it packs down small enough to fit into most spaces.

My only criticism is that the folding load bed section is tricky to unlock from position when folding down - but that is also a positive, in that it doesn't buckle easily.

I would certainly recommend this good quality product and can see no significant reason to buy the MultiCart RMH1 instead, which this product is clearly designed to compete with.

A workout just to unfold it...
Sore Hands.... 26.04.2022
Just received mine yesterday. 2 main issues:

1. The handle was stuck in the shortest position. Even with the sprung tightening screws taken fully off, the thing wouldn't budge. Ended up standing on the load part and pulling upwards like mad before it finally gave way and nearly threw me across the room! It kind of slides now, but is really sticky.
2. The release cable for the fold down load bed appears to be too long or stretched, so no matter how much I stand on it, it remains locked closed. If I spend half an hour grappling with it like a chest expander, I can eventually get it unlocked but the trolley itself is so heavy, I am shattered by the time I get to use it I can't see a way to adjust it?

Such a poor design, especially after I had the original trolley it copies for 6 years and never had an issue until it finally broke. I wish I had not tried to save money by going for this.

If it wasn't such a ton weight I would send it back for a refund.

Do not buy.....

WP
Excellent cart to haul amps and cabinets!
Walt P 11.02.2021
I had been using a smaller cart to transport my amps, cabinets and accessories to and from gigs. The main difficulty with that cart was that the tongue that holds the load was short and would allow the cabinets to tumble off when going over a step or hole in the pavement.
This cart has a longer "tongue" that reaches under the cabinets. This adds needed stability to the load and makes it easier and safer to navigate the path to and from gigs. The cart is quite well constructed and strong. The wheels are large enough to roll over cobble stone sidewalks without getting trapped between the stones.
All in all, this cart is perfect for my needs. It does the job it was designed to do and folds to a compact size that fits in the band van and still can be stored in my music room at home.

p
sturdy steel build, could be slightly better engineered
paddy22 27.06.2023
Overall a great tool for getting things to and fro, the materials are all solid, but the only complaints are the wheels could be bigger and softer- made of hard rubber for example- to allow for more manoeuvrability. the pin holding the wheels on is quite ramshackle and cheap. the flimsy string mechanism for folding up the front tongue is tricky to activate, requiring a lot of force, but nevertheless does its job ultimately fine, the tongue also could be ever so slightly longer to allow for larger/more luggage.
There's also no instructions or booklet that comes with the item, which is slightly strange when trying to figure out how to assemble it all.
Not sure why exactly, but the weight distribution is a bit unbalanced when fully laden with gear, causing it to try upright itself if not pulled at a particular angle. maybe the handle could have been made longer to counteract this.

Ultimately aside from those few critiques, its served its function well getting in and out to gigs, and its felt really sturdy most of the time apart from the wheels. maybe DIY swapping out the wheels might help in the future, then it would be close to perfect.

We use this in the conservatoire to move heavy and large instruments and amplifiers. This kart has gone to hell and back but it's still holding! Great quality.
