Super sound, finicky output
The sound reproduction of this mic is outstanding. I just couldn’t dial in the gain in a suitable way. My Marantz doesn’t have that issue, which is why I opted for a return in the end. If it were consistent for me I would have loved to keep it.
Editing this rating from 3 to 4 stars. It’s really a quality microphone. I actually purchased it again because I really like the sound. I don’t like that I have to sing with a pad. I’m somewhat new to this world so maybe it’s weird of me, but I prefer not to have to use a pad when singing. Maybe it’s normal 🤷🏻♂️. For that 4 stars but if the gain wasn’t off to me, I’d easily give 5 stars. It’s my go to mic for Smule and I prefer it to my NT1-A because of the reduced upper frequencies. The NT1-A is better for me as a studio mic, it is too sibilant for live recording without a de-esser.

Good Price, Decent Sound
Yeah...really good for this price. macky is such a concrete company in the sound branch.
the sound of it is decent. with some EQ in the high range, it sounds great.
only thing is that I wouldn't use this as a live microphone, for a little bit of more money you'll get an MS-58 or 57 which is.
overall I am happy with this mic

Good condenser microphone
Nothing to say regarding the sound or the build of the microphone. The only downside is the fact that the pattern can't be changed nor you have a switch for a low pass filter of any kind. Simple plug and play but with a great sound.
Would recommend for a first condenser microphone for recording vocals and guitars.

Great microphone for YouTube
Great microphone for podcasts, voiceovers, blogs, YouTube and Discord. It is fine-tuned to provide well-balanced, neutral sound and can be easily enhanced in post-processing. This microphone is really a next-gen one. Why? Because with all new sound processing technologies and AI stuff, now is enough to have just one microphone that gives a good neutral sound as a base for further processing. And this microphone does the job really well - it is very balanced and neutral - exactly what I need, I like it more than AT2020.
