Best sax-strap EVAR!
Anonymous 30.10.2016
This is, by far, the best saxophone strap you can have.

Just Joe's Sax Strap is a very interesting addition to the saxophone straps for saxophone available on the market. The story behind the creation of this strap is very interesting: Joe is a saxophone player who is no longer able to play saxophone after a neck surgery. None of the straps available for purchase allowed him to play, so he took the mission to create a strap himself that would enable him to play the saxophone again. The resulting strap is, thus, an orthopedic strap. The disposition of the gel padding was carefully studied in order to balance out all the weight of the sax away from the spine and distribute it seamlessly on the side of the neck.

Mr. Joe is an american inventor who has a modest production facility. Because of that, all the straps would ship directly from USA - yes, big shipping costs.
Enter Mr. Kölbl, who is another talented craftsmen from Germany. Mr. Kölbl teamed up with Mr. Joe and he is now manufacturing this strap for the european market. In addition to the normal version, Mr. Kölbl has also inovated and built a deluxe version.
Luckily for us Mr. Kölbl is shipping his straps through Thomann's very fast delivery network.

After playing for a couple of hours with this strap I feel like I've just started to play. I realized how less saturated I get after playing for an extended period of time.

I recommend this strap and your neck will thank you.
The only thing to have in mind is that you need to like the way it looks because you will spend large amounts of time with it ;)

A simply fantastic sling!
TallBaldOne 16.01.2018
I've been using the Just Joe's strap for a couple of weeks now and it is just the best sling I've ever used.
It's super-comfortable around the neck, regardless of the horn, and height adjustment is silky-smooth and easy to get perfect.
Because it doesn't slide around once on, everything also just stays put. I've played Sop, Alto & Tenor and have no doubt it would hold my Bari - but that's just too much weight for me on a single sling.
The small, rounded brass spring clip is also much better than plastic clips or carabiner-style clips, because it doesn't ever scratch the horn.
Oh - and it also looks fantastic!
I can't think of anything bad to say about it.
Love it! :)

Proper Luxury Strap
Token65 10.02.2023
Having played tenor sax professionally for many years the first proper strap i picked up in London way back in the late 70s was a thick tan leather strap that was the envy of fellow players being unusual for the time. I couldn't recall where i got it but It looked way cool & was so comfortable.

Unfortunately It went missing on a tour & despite searching for a replacement i had to revert back to the usual nylon strap that cut into my neck during long sessions. This is the closest I've found to that early strap, nice wide dispersion on the neck, thick springy leather & a beautiful colour (who doesn't like tan leather?).

It is a little expensive perhaps but if you're serious about extending the comfort of your horn to your body for that feeling of being as one with your instrument ..plus the added bonus of looking cool then this is well worth a try.
