What a purchase!

Overall great purchase. This is my second bass, thought it was time to upgrade after about 4 years of playing. This really is a very good upgrade.
I do not at all have any regrets about buying this product. The finish is superb. Lives up to all expectations. It gets the job done very well. Suits a lot of different music styles and techniques. Whether you are playing with a pick or slap it sounds great and feels great either way.
Obviously, you can look into customizing the action to suit you. Out of the box, it is really playable. Still, if you don’t feel comfortable with it, it’s very straightforward to lower or raise the action on this bass and on P-basses in general. Tools for this are included in the purchase. Doesn’t score max on features as it is a straight-up P bass. It’s not active so doesn’t have a preamp. It’s not super technically advanced, but then again P basses are a great example that you don’t need to be. It’s still an amazing bass in terms of sound. There are only two knobs (One for volume and one for tone) seeing as it only has one pickup position as this is not a PJ configuration.
Overall though everything works as it should. No complaints from me. Extremely well crafted. There is a reason for the hype behind Fender P basses. This is no exception. It sounds amazing, the finish is fantastic, the 3 tone sunburst looks fabulous in my opinion. Very classic and still has a wooden feel to it. This instrument 100% lives up to the Fender name. It simply delivers exactly what it is supposed to.

Great Consistent Bass

This is my first bass and I decided to go for the Fender Precision as I read really good things about the new pickup system they added to this Series. I cannot really complain, I have been doing recordings with it and quite enjoy its tone through DI for playing both rock and folk music. I also like the PF fretboard as it feels quite smooth.

Unverwüstlicher Klassiker zu einem angemessenen Preis

Da ich bis jetzt nur Bässe aus China/Korea besaß, wollte ich nun endlich mal den Einstieg in die "Oberklassen"-Instrumente wagen. Ich spielte früher in einer Metal-Band und dachte immer: Je aktiver und aggressiver das Instrument, desto besser. Jetzt der 1. "echte" Fender in meinen Händen und ich wurde eines besseren belehrt. Da ich aus der klassischen Musik komme und mich viel mit Ton und Holz auseinandersetzen musste, behaupte ich: Das ist der erste meiner E-Bässe, den ich wirklich als "Instrument" bezeichnen würde, nicht nur zusammengeleimtes Holz. Auch unverstärkt merkt man schon, wie alles gut schwingt summt und brummt. Auch machen hier alle Nuancen (Spielstelle, Reglereinstellungen usw.) wirklich sehr hörbare Unterschiede was ich von billigeren Instrumenten nicht so gewöhnt bin. Recording: Das pure Bass-Signal ist sehr "puristisch" aber reicht bereits vollkommen zum direkten aufnehmen. Die überarbeiteten Pickups erscheinen hier schon sehr präsent für einen P-Bass. Das beste an dem Instrument: Die Einfachheit! Der Bass klingt so schon gut, aber eignet sich durch sein "puristisches" Signal perfekt dazu mit Pedalen und Verstärkern zu arbeiten, da man immer genau weiß, welches Element für welchen Sound zuständig ist. Tolle Verarbeitung und sehr "smoothes" Spielgefühl. Einzig mit der Werkseinstellung sollte man sich noch einmal auseinandersetzen.
