Worry-free security

Relatively easy to fit to the strap and very easy to fit to the guitar, I had no issues with the strap coming off as long as I used them.

There’s a metal clip that needs to be pushed in place to fit the attachment to your strap which is a little tough to do but far from impossible. I’d recommend keeping the locks on your strap permanently rather than remove them regularly.

I was able to fit these parts to my Gibson Les Paul without any need for filling or re-drilling holes, the screws fit the existing screw thread.

Keep in mind, these locks are nickel finish, so might not match perfectly with guitars that have chrome hardware (if that’s important to you).

Best Replacement Locks
DEC5150 07.06.2013
These strap locks in particularly the dual deisgn are great replacement strap pins and strap locks. The dual design means you can use a regular guitar strap over them without it falling off as with the other Dunlop designs. This does add bulk to the design, but is a nice option to have incase you need to borrow an emergency strap at a gig without the other locking part attached.

The locking feature is really great. Incredible peace of mind when you have made sure 1) that the pin has been installed correctly (no loose holes!). You may need to fill and redrill your guitar for secure fit. And 2) that the button is pressed in and depressed properly inside the lock and you test it to make sure of this or you could find it just falling out and seeing your guitar do the very thing you bought these to prevent!

Perfect and discret

I never liked the look of the original Dunlop Straplok, because it didn't look as authentic as the oirignal guitar strap buttons.

But these are really great ! Because it's faded perfectly in the look of the guitar and seemed authentic. You can also use them without the strap button and you could use a regular strap with them.

These have never failed me and I've been using them on various guitars for a lot of years !

No more fear.
Jazzbass1946 05.10.2021
One of my biggest fears is one my basses falling when its just hanging around my neck and I'm not holding it. Straplocks are the ultimate safety feature to prevent this. One can argue whether one brand is better than the other. I don't know. I have these Dunlops on all my basses which makes swapping straps easy. In all these years I have never had an issue with them.
