A
Great mic
Anonymous 15.06.2014
Tried the microphone for recording acoustic guitar and it does really sound great! The sound is very warm, although not muddy. It sounds very realistic and closely to how it sounds when playing the guitar live.

I also tried it for vocals but I did not find it as great as for the guitar. Although it is specially made for stringed instruments.

I tried to connect the microphone to my amplifier but I only recieved acoustic feedback with the amplifier separated 10 meters away from the microphone. Although, I can not tell whether if it's the mic or the amp or the preamp. It's probably not the micrphone since it worked fine when recording.

The construction is awesome, it feels as a high quality microphone, even though its small sized it's heavy and solid. The construction is steel-made.

- My overall experience with Thomann:
*Best prices in EU.
*Fast and cheap (sometimes free) delivery.
*World class customer support.
*You can't go wrong and you won't regret your purchase.

P
better than expected

This is a very good qualilty microphone. Even with a basic home studio set up, I was fınally hear from the recording how my acoustic guitar actually sounds. I've tried built in pickups etc but this small condenser mic works much much better. Also, I've tried for singing playin at the same time and record with one microphone: Result is great, it captures vocals amazingly. I am even thinking about using this mic for different vocal scenarios. Anyway, happy with product, good value for price. Reccommended for those at the bridge from amateur to professional.

Liked and sharing

I've used this mic to record acoustic guitars. I can only say that for it's price it really shines! Placed for recording both at 12th fret and at the bottom of the lower bout, the mic delivers a very clear and truthful acoustic sound rendition. I've been even able to record and hear the difference between two slightly different sets of strings (.12 PBs, but from different manufacturers), used with one and the same instrument.

No cons that worth mentioning. I cannot judge for the other types of instruments but the acoustic guitar, though. Probably, some built-in cuts could be handy.

All in all: impressed, liked and sharing!

Perfect!

First microphone I've bought, but it feels great.
It's sturdy, weights a bit and feels compact.
For recording it's super. I've used it quite a lot now and I can say that it records with good quality. The only 'downside' is that it requires 48V phantom power, which you should definitely check on your interface/AMP/... before buying this. Without that power it literally just doesn't work (which is logical).
I use it to record my acoustic and classical guitars and it's super. Don't have any complaints about it.
